What is the most affordable way for me to get a good chess coach for my son?

I've been told by a few people that I should get a chess coach for my son. He's 6 years old and he's in the top 100 USCF for 7 and under so he's pretty good. He's 1500 on lichess. My wife and I don't have a ton of money and we have other children with other interests so we can't spend all our extra money on just one of our kid's hobbies. So here is my main question. How beneficial would it be to do an hour lesson once a month with a coach to just get input and a study plan for the month? I definitely can't afford weekly lessons. Once a month is probably the most I'd be able to do.Is it reasonable to just wait couple of years and see if my son is still interested in chess and still showing talent before getting a coach? I had a family member say I should start now because most of the top kids start working with coaches at 7 or earlier. My son is already does very well at local tournaments and it's fun to see him win trophies. I'm realistic enough to know he's not going to be winning national tournaments though. It seems like not the best use of money but I do want to help him do well. I'd love input from any coaches, chess parents or people who had coaching when they were young. via /r/chess https://ift.tt/34mf3LF
