I’m not so much scared of having kids, I’m scared of my MIL

My boyfriend and I are both minimalists, that and I am a true believer that a kid doesn’t need 100 toys. My boyfriend is clean but he’s a little less clean than me, so I don’t need someone else adding to the mix. There are now a lot of subscription services for toys that fit your child’s developmental stage so I don’t need to be a hoarder.I am not sure if I want kids yet, as I’m still young. But my boyfriend’s mom is a huge hoarder. Their house is literally disgusting, her two sons have begged her to throw away or donate stuff but she won’t.His brother just had a baby and he is also clean and asked that they’d be only given monetary gifts or diapers, no toys because they’re using one of these services and also believe you can make a lot of them. What does future MIL do? Send them a crap ton of toys. Wife wants to donate them but the MIL will be mad.This isn’t so much a dealbreaker, but the thought of her crossing boundaries like this concern me.
