Hi y’all! Me again! This time with an update and many thanks to be given!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us. But my earlier post asking for fit/style advice was so awesomely received by you guys! There were many affirmations that I am not a total failure as a parent, for one. Thank you- that was needed. And your advice was AMAZING. Truly, thank you guys for the brands, styles, online code/sales advice, and even the other advice regarding my kids health. I will update In a couple weeks- hopefully- with an album of pics of our wardrobe adjustments so far.Slowly but surely, he is getting to know what his “style” is. It’s been awesome to watch him reading positive men’s fashion and health articles and taking an active interest in this. There have been many kind messages as well in my inbox. One in particular- whom I won’t mention by u/ for privacy- went above and beyond offering to help my kid really expand and explore his interest in programming and IT. We are planning a “photo shoot” for a profile pic for his soon-to-be Linkd In profile. He is Uber excited about his recent classes on Pixar Animation as well as learning HTML and JavaScript so far. It’s amazing how everyday I see him getting more excited about all these new challenges and charges and the look of pure self accomplishment he’s walking around with over the last week. He’s set goals for his workout routine, we have addressed part of his possible medical issues- which proved that there is indeed an endocrine and glandular issue present. He is happy to have a concrete answer and to be reaffirmed that he was making all the right decisions for his health, mental well being, as well as confidence and self esteem. There were almost as many comments on the last post and cowardly DMs as well as a lovely week-long bullying incident in a sad and pathetic subreddit as well. But it turns out, that asking for advice on comfortable and figure flattering clothing was a correct mood. He was already aware of his issues with his weight. He was working with me in making and actually following through with his other goals. But finding clothing that didn’t accentuate his most problematic areas as well as the ones he showed visible shame over, actually seems to be lifting his spirits. We are slowly working on building his wardrobe. This kid took on an emotionally draining challenge of admitting he needed to clear out clothing that was too small. He’s picked out his favorite things to go into his quilt-in-progress for their outgrown and “special” clothes. I’m working on one for both the boys to be completed when they graduate. This sub was amazingly supportive and had so much great advice. Just wanted to write a quick, and truly heartfelt Thank You and an update blurb. Stay awesome r/malefashionadvice via /r/malefashionadvice https://ift.tt/2EIcYAO
