Can you change your mind on a lease within x days of signing?

This is my first time renting in Canada so that's why I am asking.I signed a lease on September 18 for a one bedroom. I got the keys last Thursday. When the apartment was shown to me it was during the week business hours.I am in the apartment now cleaning, have not moved in yet. They gave me the keys early, I don't pay rent until October 1st.Because it is weekend everyone is home and the noise from one family across the hall especially is incredible. It is a 1 bed but they have at least two kids. Their tv is so loud I can hear it in my apartment. I just had a panic attack at the thought of having to live across from them for a year.I am thinking of getting weather stripping, a door sweep and a noise cancelling curtain for my front door but I don't know if it will be enough. Right now I have not moved yet.Can I get out from under this lease? The office won't be open until Monday.I am so upset. I come from living with my husband's parents for a year and a half and they are so loud. I so badly wanted some peace and quiet. I am in complete panic right now. via /r/alberta https://ift.tt/333n8W5
