Another hidden cost of the pandemic for landlords

I haven't seen anybody discuss the impact of the pandemic in regards to wear and tear of rental units.A typical family of 5, pre-pandemic, would have 3 kids at school/sports 8 hours a day 9 months a year and parents out of the house 50+ hours a week all year.In one of my rentals, there have been 5 people who haven't left the house more than a few hours since March.That equates to significantly more wear and tear on appliances, fixtures, flooring, cabinet doors, and anything else that is touched or used in a home.This pandemic will have ongoing effects for years, even if it is all 'solved' today.
