TIC because my mom bought the most important items on my registry

My mom has always been like my best friend more than a parent. We just never had that sort of 'kid/parent' relationship. Sometimes it's been upsetting, but mostly it's been wonderful - I just don't usually expect usual parent stuff from her or my dad.So imagine my surprise when she asks for my registry and buys the rocking chair, bassinet, and stroller that were on my list right off the bat, no questions asked. We've just moved across country and racked up loads of painful debt and my stress level has been a little higher than it should be, and she basically took it away by making sure I didn't have to worry about the baby.
