My boyfriend and I have different views on divorce and I'm a bit worried.

I'm from a toxic family where my parents have been divorced for a few years. Boyfriend is from a loving family where his parents have been married for a long long time.Our views on divorces are the complete opposite. For him it's stay for the kids. I am highly against this.My mother stayed in a relationship she wasn't happy in and it deeply affected me. The kid can tell when something is off and all this does is mess up their view on relationships.I genuine don't understand his point of view on this, I asked him a bunch of questions but I still can't get it.I just kind of want to ask for a different perspective that might help me get his point of view.
