I recently became a SAHP after deciding that I want to stay home to raise my kids for a few years. My husband is supportive, but I haven't told the rest of my my family yet.I am terrified to tell my mom that I quit my job. I get a lot of anxiety when my mom asks me when is my maternity leave is over. I don't plan to go back to work for at least two years, so I don't think I can keep "extending my leave."I know that my mom will be disappointed that I left my "good" job to stay home with the kids. She will tell me that it was unnecessary to leave a stable career and that she could have watched my kids while I worked. Our parenting styles clash, so her watching my kids for most of the time is out of the question.Seems ridiculous that I fear disappointing my mom even though I'm an adult.
