F4M/38/NYC Suburbs- The seasons are changing- let’s fall into something amazing!

I’m not sure about you, but being quarantined for several months really put the lack of passion and romance in my marriage into stark view. While on the outside I’m your friendly neighborhood soccer mom, on the inside I’m trying to figure out hell how I ended up as roommates and best friends with my SO. Being home gave me so many great insights into what truly makes me happy (hint- it’s more of walks around the block or dance parties with kids than vacations and designer purses), and has once again reinforced my idea that it’s absolutely insane that society expects our spouses to fulfill every single role in our life- friend, partner, roommate, super fan, co-parent and personal assistant to tiny humans, hype man, food critic, barometer of what output you want to beat in a spin class, protector, fellow home school teacher, lover, etc. I don’t think that it’s possible for once person to do ALL of that... and so many people let the romance just fade to nothing during the pursuit of doing all those other things. And that is probably the reason that most of us are here right now, and the reason you’re reading this.So, I haven’t lost you yet, right? Awesome. So now, to the good stuff! What I’m looking for is to find someone to do things with that I unquestionably know are “bad”, but that feel so, so, so damn good. I’m looking for what so many of us are- passion, excitement, and fun rooted in a trusting and intimate friendship. Is that hard to find? Yeah. Super hard to find. But wouldn’t it also be amazing? I think so. If you’re about 35-50 and also living that suburban dream life that is kind of dull and definitely lacking passion once you scratch away the surface, then reach out!
