What are your positives about being a stepparent?

I must say reading some of these talks about being a step parent can be rather depressing. Constantly dealing with all the baggage that comes with being a stepparent and dealing with bio parents and such. I'm not wanting to live in denial about the hardships of being a stepparent, I just thought it might be a fun place to talk about some positive and wonderful things as well. Since sometimes it can be so easy to be caught up in the negative we miss all the positives. So I thought it might be a fun little discussion to talk about all the great things that come with being a stepparent.
