Congregation E

I was at this congregation for only 3 years as an MS. I was being offered the position for elder several times, but I kept turning it down. This apparently gained me bad fame with a couple elders.1 of my 5 all-time favorite elders once told me that I shouldn't let sin keep me down. And that confessing every little sin wasn't necessary, the blood of Christ and baptism took care of this. This was the very first time I had every heard anyone tell it to me like that. This elder was stripped of his elder title about 1 month after this talk (not saying there is a correlation necessarily). He switched halls soon after bc apparently he was bumping heads with one of the elders at the time.1 kinda dumb but humble elder once told me that I should assist him and the rest of the elders, that I could help them and that they could learn from me. He said this in front of 3 other elders. He was disfellowshipped 1 year later (not saying there is a correlation, but boy what a coincidence).1 legit corrupt elder involved in fraud.1 of the elders was a kid i grew up with in highschool. He was a gangbanger in HS while a publisher. A few years after baptism he had been spoken to several times for spending time alone with several sisters at once. He would also throw a lot of gatherings with no parents home. 1 year before being named elder I saw him with his best friend driving drunk on the road, swerving left and right. Whenever I see this elder he can't look at me in the eyes, he remembers me like I remember him. While he was gangbanging in HS I was preaching the gospel.3 particular young guys were named MS one year after I had voiced concern on all three of them. The body of elders thought it was a good idea. 2 years later all of them were stripped of the title. One of the kids became a drunk, fornicator and left permanantly. Another was caught making out with an underage sister.30 yr old pioneer elder with a sincere heart, a model of the entire District. Very good sharp dude. Got married and instantly voiced regret. Seems to me he didn't regret his wife, it just seemed too much...elder, pioneer, husband, having worked part time his whole life until now.1 young man ex DF'd who came back only to date as many girls without ever having marriage in mind. He dated two and both girls terminated the relationship bc he wanted to be single with benefits. He still out there preying. Son of an elder.1 brother was cheating on his wife but elders wanted physical proof. The sister actually had proof of husband constantly alone with this other woman. Elders wanted something short of a sex video I guess. Husband began to beat his jw wife. I think they slapped his wrist with a censorship, no df.Circuit substitute tried to comfort concerned mother with suicidal jw son. He insinuates to her that writing to the branch about issues is, ironically, a lack of faith in God and that she must not bring the org into this. He tells her he had a case in another state where the son killed himself, but states that it is the moms job to remain faithful to the org. No aid was given to the suicidal son, thankfully he is still alive. No other help was given to the concerned mother other than the Circuit substitute words, a 30min talk with no empathy or sympathy.This was my last congregation before leaving the organization (not Jehovah). via /r/JehovahsWitnesses https://ift.tt/3cXZMEI
