Any Managed to Course-Correct?

So yeah, my career has been a bit of a cluster. I'm an American and have an M.A. in English. I graduated from college in 2013 and spent 4 years as an adjunct professor after the standard retail stent. Adjuncting turned out to be a dead end and I never made more than 20k w/o benefits. In May I got laid off and since have been working in a call center for an isp/cable company. While I am making another 12k per year; I hate it with a self destructive passion that has made me depressed and rather...morbid. having to tell clearly desperate parents that I can't turn the internet back on because corporate is a whorespawned brood of vipers is starting to get to me.I've been filling out as many job apps as I can summon the energy to, but I starting to feel like I'm ice skating uphill and fear at this rate I'll constantly be making desperate moves instead of being in control. Granted, I am only 31 so this may be the shortsighted mewling of a kid.So, has anyone been in this situation and managed to course correct, and if so how. via /r/careerguidance https://ift.tt/37diVS9
