Justin is the third Duggar male to have a relationship with the oldest girl in a large family (though their partners’ families are less than half of the size of the Duggar Klan). I’ve always found it interesting that Kendra and Lauren have similar backgrounds. They’re both the oldest child of a pastor with 7-8 younger siblings (although Kendra’s 7th sibling is younger than her own son). Per the announcement from TLC Claire Spivey is the oldest of six kids.Do the Duggar boys intentionally go for the oldest girl? Do they want someone with years of sister-mom experience that that will take care of them and their quiver full of blessings, as well as all of the housework etc? Are they looking forward to babysitting from the younger sisters-in-law?Are these first born girls dying to get out of their sister-mom life and will marry the first suitor that comes along? If they want to maintain their privacy I feel we should respect that. The TLC article said she was the oldest of 6 kids and that their families have been friends since before she was born. If she is the oldest, what would her parents have in common with the Duggars who already had a dozen kids when she was born? Maybe they have been idolizing them and wanting a marriage ever since? Was this a betrothal?I really hope that it’s just two young people that actually have an attraction to each other but there’s probably more to it than that. I’ve seen a lot of talk on why Claire wanted Justin, but nothing on why Justin wanted Claire. Nothing on Claire specifically, or why he may want to get away from his big crazy family. I’ve been wondering since I first heard about 17 year old Justin in a relationship/courtship if Justin was unhappy at home. He’s youngest of the “middle kids” as the family would call them. Jackson has ALWAYS been grouped with the “little kids” (Tyler and the younger girls). Was Justin picked on by his brothers? Did he always feel like he had something to prove? Is he doing this so his family see him as an adult? Is he trying to get daddy to give him a business or a house or a plane?
