Married 15 years, 1 kid, stable careers, financially secure for the most part. Every couple of months or so we get into a fight that usually lasts a few days over something stupid and inconsequential. No cheating, addictions, family member drama. Just some petty dispute that escalates.I think these fights mean we are headed for divorce, and I’m scared, and I get crippled with anxiety and depression for days afterwards and think we need counseling, and whereas my wife thinks our marriage is completely normal and these fights seem to have no lasting impact on her mental state or ability to function. .She comes from a good family. Her parents recently celebrated their 50th, with a stable upbringing. I suffered traumatic abuse, my father was married 4x , bankruptcies, was hospitalized for mental illness a bunch of times during my childhood, I went to 4 high schools. The only reason I escaped and was able to pursue a normal life with a good career was through joining the military and building my life on that foundation. via /r/Divorce_Men https://ift.tt/304GW9M
