CMV: You don't need to make more than $75k (USD) a year to financially okay for a family in the US.

Title should say "... to be financially..."My parents always hammered the thought of "having to make a lot of money" into me as a kid but now that I'm 3 years into a doctorate degree that should make 6 figures, I see that I don't want to do what I'm studying to do.My girlfriend and I live frugally. Between the 2 of us, we spend maybe $100 a month on food and we live in a major city. If I want a 250k house while working for $20 an hour for USPS, I think I would be okay as long as we live frugally and don't buy fancy cars or send our future kids to private schools. via /r/changemyview https://ift.tt/3cx7Z2j
