Anxiety and driving

I dont know where else to post this and i think this is a decent sub for my question.I've always loved cars since i was a kid and was always looking forward to getting old enough so i can finally drive, i tried it once when i was on 7th grade on my parents old suzuki (manual) but didnt progress much as i kept stalling and i was too young to be driving anyways, then at around 9th grade i was taught the basics by my family driver on a diesel and i could grasp it quite easily. So one day in 9th grade i decided to take my suzuki (right hand drive) to a friends place and after driving for awhile i parked it near a shop to get something and when i started and put it in first gear i wasnt looking properly i hit my bumper on the back of a steel footboard of another car parked to my left and nothing happened to that car but my cars bumper tore off and i got a decent scolding from my dad after i got home, i completely stopped driving after that for many years and drove my moms automatic if i had to.I got my driver license when i was in 12th grade and it was fairly easy because even a 10 year old can drive an automatic. It wasnt fun driving an automatic and i felt really insecure driving automatic since my friends were all driving manuals, im 22 now and i still get anxiety driving manuals, it may have something to do with the fact that i have anxiety and worry too much about stalling and embarassing myself or fucking up in a uphill traffic and rollling the car backwards, and i get reminded of me scrapping my bumper on 9th grade everytime im on a manual car.Any tips for me to grow a pair and actually enjoy driving without being anxious? via /r/driving https://ift.tt/3nMxamL
