I believe I almost got kidnapped

I can say this now that I may have been over stimulated at the time this happened. This happened twenty years ago.I was angry at my parents being the defiant little kid I was. I had not regard for anyone's feelings. The day was bright, beautiful and crisp. I walked out of school.... no I didn't walk... I had a strut to my gait, I had something to prove. I wanted to prove to everyone that I could get home... BY MY SELF.I cruised my way down the long sidewalk not paying attention to anything. The birds were singing in the distance with gusto. Everything seemed okay as my boyish attitude deemed so. The sunlight was beaming and everything seemed okay.I approached a church(yes I know how stupid that sounds but in utah, a church is a dime a dozen) I heard some voices ahead shouting. The voices sounded like they were having fun. As I got closer I could see two boys, I could only assume they were teenagers, skateboarding on the rails laughing and having fun.As I walked into view, one of the boys stopped and looked at me. "Hey want a ride home?" As he kicked his board into his hand.I thought quickly (as quickly as an eleven year old could) "No, I am almost home" I said. My mind had already been on the two young kids who had been abducted that month. The boys said alright but I wasn't buying it.As soon as I was out of eye sight I booked it. I ran as fast as my legs would carry me, all the way to a random person's back yard... I sat behind a juniper bush, tucked inside as to hide myself. I waited and listened... for what seemed like an eternity. I heard it then, the squealing tired of a car pulling around the corner, screeching to a halt."Where the hell did he go?!" Sounded the voice of one of the boys before. "I dont know man, maybe he was too much trouble"I heard the sounds of tires screeching off, and I was left In silence...I dont know what would have happened to me that day but it still haunts me to this day.Always listen to your children because my parents never did. via /r/creepyencounters https://ift.tt/3nJfAjs
