Do parents want to know when there kid is ready for s*x?

I am seventeen and have been dating a guy for two years. My mom knows him well and likes him a lot and is aware that we haven’t had sex yet because I haven’t felt ready.Now I am ready, but I don’t know if I should tell my mom that (and ask her for condoms) or get a friend of a friend to do it for me, no questions asked.I have a good relationship with my mom and I’ve been super open with her in the past about anything pertaining to my body. my sister, who is sexually active, has talked to her about sex. I just don’t know if it’s normal to tell her that I’m ready for sex or if I should just tell her after I do it.As a parent, would you want your kid to come to you beforehand, tell you they’re ready, and ask you to buy them conforms?Btw, I can’t get them myself because I don’t have a license yet:( via /r/AskParents https://ift.tt/346Tyzw
