Anyone else's kids showing psychological impacts?

My 7yo is always a little explosive and has had therapy, has OT etc and we generally work hard on keeping him on an even keel. But never to such a degree as with the current situation. He is the kind of kid for whom remote schooling is truly deleterious as he needs the structure and socialization to feel grounded, but his hybrid school is not showing signs of returning full time for his age perhaps all year. He also has severe sibling rivalry issues, not helped by his younger sibling being full time. He's full of so much anger and frustration, and isn't able to even learn in a pod with the kids in his cohort on off days, per the school. He's having screaming meltdowns and has now started kicking things and throwing things - then at other times he'll pore over old photos of his classmates through the years that we have in books. The 1-2 days per week he is in person, he is so much calmer but otherwise it's pretty bad. Is anyone else experiencing similar? I am considering temporarily moving to a state where schools are open as we both work remotely and he is pretty good at making new friends, though of course I am also concerned about infection but perhaps at this point more concerned about his mental health. Would love to know what other parents are experiencing? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/31EszJZ
