R los angeles mod referred this post to this forum, though I'm not really asking a question...Thanks for reading!Can't go to my local parks without encountering people who do not follow mandates around my fucking kids. Asked a lady today standing over my kids to either distance or wear a mask and she said she doesn't believe in them. Another parent then said I could leave if I didn't like it.We literally have to drive to neighboring cities to enjoy the parks where miraculously everyone is masked up. Called my councilman's office, and they advised that their hands are tied by the mayor and that they too have voiced their frustration. I guess the mayor was hoping that citizens would have a sense of civic responsibility, but that is not the prevailing ethos at parks in Encino, and I'm speaking about people of all demographics. I understand the city is low on funds, but funding levels will not increase without the community banding together to end pandemic.Anticipating getting brigaded by anti-maskers with this post. All I will say is, I'm tired of this shit, too. While there is less risk when outside, I don't see a way we escape low level transmission rates without all getting on board.
