My “great” uncle basically called me stupid on Facebook.

So, my mom was tagged on a Facebook post her uncle made. The post read something along the lines of, people should panic buy condoms so they don’t produce more stupid people. Someone else in the family asked him about it because they were also tagged. He said it was a “joke” and that it was because the person and my mom were sending pictures of empty shelves on the family Facebook chat group. My mom was offended because she raised successful kids. Her oldest is a project manager, the oldest may be getting married soon because their relationship is getting very serious, also, the oldest is extremely rich maybe a millionaire... I’m not completely sure. The youngest is working on their music career in another province right now, they are working a couple gigs, the middle child (me) asked a question in a classroom setting and made a possible friend today! It doesn’t seem like a big deal but I have trouble with people. It took years to get used to people and how to continue conversations with them. I initiated small talk (I’m terrible at this) with someone that I’m kinda scared of (they seemed mad at me for something that was out of my control the first time I met them). Also, this all happened in my third day of my full time, well paid, good benefits having, job... also hate to brag but I’m buying my first car soon in full.My mom’s uncle is unemployed. She said that she wanted to tell him that she is proud of raising successful kids and the only people that raised stupid people are her grandparents, his parents. If this issue came up in a family reunion (after COVID hopefully ends) would it be wrong to call him out on his bullshit? My great uncles and aunts... even my grandmother is the toxic people in the family. via /r/relationship_advice https://ift.tt/30M4Vei
